The Department caters for:

  • developing scientific collections in printed and electronic form, for every Department of the Kastoria Branch, as well as material maintaining and archiving.
  • library processing and documenting based on international, commonly accepted, standards as well as entering, correcting, and controlling the records quality in the electronic public access catalogue (OPAC).
  • organising and arranging printed collection and defining the requirements of electronic access interfaces to the journals and databases collection.
  • organising loan services and registering new users.
  • inter-loaning of documentary monographs and journal articles from libraries in Greece and abroad.
  • developing a digital collection accessible to print-disabled users of the academic community and providing personalised information support to People with Disabilities (PWDs).
  • designing and managing users’ training: organising and running live & on-line training seminars.
  • enhancing and managing the Institutional Repository collection as well as running and handling UoWM Research Data Repository Information System.
  • managing EUDOXUS publications.
